I figured out a little trick that might help some of you when building steel braided lines. The smaller the line the harder it is to slip in to the anodized fittings. I was building lines from fuel regulator to the carbs. It was #6 lines. I was making up new vocabulary words cause the line would not slip on. Once you cut the line with tape around where you cut with a cut-off wheel it still has a little lip. This is what helped me: Talk a hose clamp and squeeze the very end with it and it will draw the steel in, then slip off the tape. You might need to take a very small flat head screwdriver to clean any frayed strains in. Once in twist a little to get it started then take a dead blow hammer and drive it on in. After I did the hose clamp squeeze I was rock'n. Hope this helps someone.
