Is there any way to find out what type of impeller is in my pump? I've removed the bowl but didn't want to remove the impeller. Is there some identifying marks or way to measure it to find out what cut it is? It's just for my own curiousity and I thought there would be no other time than now to find out.

You have a dominator, right?  I'm not sure about Dominator but, Berkeley stamps the back side of there's with the letter representing the size.  You could also measure it as well.  http://www.cpperformance.com/bjd_impeller_info.aspx  But Dominator?    :huh:

I'll give it a closer look when I get back home. Supposed to be working - lol!! Also, I noticed that the impeller is dark grey. Does aluminum do that after exposure to lake water, or should I say especially salty lake water?
