Flatbottom Girl gets flamed

OK. The first paintjob using Interlux Brightside (single stage polyurethane) didn't work out so well.

It blistered. Mike Kent at Interlux was kind enough to come take a look, and he attributed it to moisture trapped in old layers of auto paint that hadn't been completely removed. He was also kind enough to provide Awlcraft 2000 two-part polyurethane (think Imron) for the repaint, which David Anderson and the hot-rod guys at Anderson Paint & Body in Huntsville agreed to do. (They don't want a mediocre paint job running around with their name on it.)

David wanted to add the flames, which he did in silver metallic. What do you think?

The seats are thermoformed car racing seats. Joe Glud at Anderson brothers made the new seat covers to replace the original black ones. Much easier on the backside when you're out in the sun.

Good looking boat. I like the flames, not overdone, but breaks it up a little. Dig the name too.
