Thanks bro. Still not a whole lot of information pertaining to the company or more specifically, the 21' Crusader Mini day cruiser.

Very cool!!

Looks like they were one of the hundreds of boat builders in SoCal back in the 70s.  you might PM Old Rigger over on PB.  He seems to be pretty knowledgeable about all the builders back then.

Actually you should PM FASTJTBT over at PB.  According to post 21 in this thread he was part Crusader.

He mentions Crusader again here in response to you question and has posted as recently as yesterday.  I bet he is going to be your best resource.

I ran a whois on their old site crusadercustomboats.com and it is available.  You should register it and start a forum for Crusader owners.

You would be the keeper of the flame.  Kinda like one of those guys that still plows his field with a mule.  LOL.

Hey Cliff.  It has an "Inverter" and will do "70 MPH+"  Must be the BBC power.  LOL.  You might want to save the pics for your archive.  It looks to be the same model as yours.  If you look closely you can see that elevated deck line.

"1976 crusader jet boat 21 ft day cruiser. The boat has a fresh paint job, new runners and floors, rebuilt Berkeley Pump, with inverter (rooster tail) rebuilt Chevy Big Block 454 bored over 30 (70MPH+), MSD ignition, demon 750 carburetor, through transom cooled headers that sound great. Still have the teak swim deck looks great.
This boat has been a project for the last 4 years and with the new addition to our family my wife wants a safer more family oriented boat.
I would say it is about 90 % complete just needs interior, rub rail and a few pieces re-chromed and this boat would be lake ready in no time.
I have over 17K invested but will to sale for 8K Cash only OBO."

The guy has a lot of work in it, but it ain't no $8k boat... It's a fifteen hundred dollar motor in a fifteen hundred dollar hull with some nice bolt on's that needs a LOT of finish work. But like that $2,800 Youngblood, it's worth what someone is willing to pay.

I have to agree. The PO of my Crusader said "Man, this thing will run 65 all day long".....lol, I've seen 54mph and that's it.

The above listed Crusader seems to have the makings of a nice boat however it's only worth about $2,500 max IMO.

I like them better with swim platforms too.....

I agree completely.  I don't think I would pay more than $1000 to $1500.  By the time you finish it you could have bought a really nice lake ready boat.  He said he has the swim platforms.  Maybe the reason he has 18K is invested is the inverter.  Maybe he has one in there big enough to run a full size fridge.

BUWAAAHH!!!!    No way it runs 70 with an inverter big enough to run a fridge, those are heavy.. LOL

Cliff paid what, less than half of what this guy's asking for his Crusader, and his was complete and lake ready!
