ARIZONA TRIP

I bring this up because my plans are set for April, May and June. Some people have expressed an interest in going out there this year. This gives you plenty of time to schedule vacation and get the boat and trailer ready for a road trip.

SoCal Jet Boats have scheduled an event May 11-13 at the AVI in Laughlin NV. Also June 15-17 at McIntyre Park in Blythe. I will be at both. For the Blythe deal I stay at the Cove RV Resort at I10 and the Colorado River. They have more events scheduled, check their web site.

I travel to Phoenix near the end of April because my daughter is getting married then. I travel back to Houston June 19 and 20.

I look forward to them as well. I'm all booked up at the Blue Water in September for the Schiada Notta Regatta. I'm really looking forward to it. Stacey also pretty much has me convinced to run my little boat in Desert Storm next year so there maybe 2 trips out west in my future. The wife had so much fun at the Lake Whitney Poker Run last year she was surprisingly on board with the idea.

Made it to Van Horn no problem other than about an hour of off and on heavy rain. The sky is clear here and about 60 degrees with a 15 mph north wind.
Warmer tomorrow. Time for a Jack and coke.

Made it to Phoenix no issues. A few pics along the way.
In the first pick I'm showing a black streak in the road that goes on for 30 miles. It's been there ever since I've been coming out here. I can't imagine what would make a streak that long. Stuff you think about when your driving.
The other two are of a road side rest area in Arizona.

Uh no.  There's a place on I-10 around Benson, Arizona called Texas Canyon.  It looks a lot like the pics you posted.  :smile30:

No Texas Canyon lake according to Google Earth. The rest area I took pics of earlier in this thread is called the Texas Canyon Rest Area. You are correct about the place called Texas Canyon but no lake.
