the headers do have weep holes last summer i flooded the headers with water because the ball in the t valve had rusted that may be when the piston started to go i don't think the head gasket blew till last weekend i've blown head gaskets in some of my hot rods and they all ran like crap afterward but the boat didn't

If it happened due to water inversion from the headers, you better check that exhaust valve real good, don't ask me how I know! :smile20:
