This is a new motor, built by Scott Seastrom in Hot Springs, Arkansas. it
has two pulls by Stephen Smith on his dyno in Atlanta,Texas. It made 998
horsepower and 955 foot-pounds torque on 93 octane pump gas at 8 p.s.i.
boost. The pulls were terminated at 6800 r.p.m. The motor came off the
dyno and went back on it’s pallet, where it has been since.
I planned to put this motor in a 21 foot jet or in an outdrive catamaran of
25-28 feet. Doesn’t look like this is going to happen. I knew it would be
easy to change pulleys and use race gas if I needed more pep from time to
time.
