well as of today i called banana bend to see what days they were open toward end of month to go make some test runs and they said they are closed till march for cold time of year. so i asked if they were still planning on being open on a sat in january for a boating event thats held every year and the asian lady that answers said they havnt been contacted yet and hadnt decided if they were going to rent it out this year or not because it was not very feesable. so hopefully the powers to be on this event get something rolling so the rest of us know to schedule away from work or not.

I agree ...I know 5 boats already from our group ready to make the trip...and probably more as it gets closer. hurry.gif

most of the time people load up at loves and travel down to banana bend, which according to billy duggan is three miles, sure doesnt seem like it.

I know they have contacted the Banana Bend people, not sure the outcome.  I know also they were looking at the place down river a little also.  If I here something I will post.

I don't see how it wasn't profitable for them at Banana Bend. All they have to do is sit there and collect money. think.gif

They had a big screw up last year at the DSRA race.  The race took a little longer than expected and the owner of BB had them shut down before the race was over.  This caused alot or hard feelings.  That could be one issue.  crazy.gif

I just found out it will not be at Banana Bend this year.  They are looking for another spot.  That is why it has not been anounced.  Maybe there will be new soon.  The event will happen!

A recon team (Mike, Dan, Joey) will be out this Sat. to check things out.

Hey knotty how about down south offroad park they got a big beach you can drive to the beach from the park ten dollar entry fee plus goodtimes is right across the river
