When's the season over?

Is it October or so?

This all started as a simple linkage fix. I broke the new progressive linkage I picked up. After researching, I found out the eddy linkage needs some help, so today I got that squared away.

I noticed A dry brown substance all the way around the blower, after pulling all the stuff of, the blower to manifold gasket was completely shot. Ok that's an easy fix

When I was taping the openings of the blower off I was turning it by hand just watching the rotors go round. One of the lobes is missing a Teflon strip. WTF! I decided to check the oil in the blower (why I have no idea) and it was almost completely empty. So it looks like I need to send it in for a complete rebuild.

I also pulled water lines to fix a leak and that's where she sits.

This all started with a couple tweaks to the carb linkage.

Bummer.  That sucks for sure.  Last big event will probably be Tawakoni in October.  Weather gets kinds hit and miss right around that time.  Might be boating till November Might not.

The season is over when you can't stand to be in the water anymore.  Hmm that means December for us in the south and back in the water by march.

we boat year round in houston bling.gif

If you call putting your boat in the water four times all season "boating year round", then yeah. I do too.  crazy.gif I boated year round last week!!

Here around Dallas we're usually done by mid November and back in the water come April. Pretty much Thanksgiving to Easter could freeze at any time so we're winterized. But that's why the north boats are so much faster than the south boats. We have time to add go fast parts to ours (and actually put them back on the water).

Yeah, GPS'd 51 on Sunday...... with 4 people in the boat, and 2 coolers, 2 lawn chairs, a hammock, a grill, a few floaties, some water toys, a pair of anchors, and my wife's gigantic 50 pound beach bag full of liquor while she's telling me to slow down the whole time. I don't think there's a single shovel nose out there that will even float with all that stuff in it, let alone run 50. That's hauling the actual mail and makes me faster. LOLOL

:smile28:

Unfortunately I take all that out and it only goes 4 faster..  :smile15:
