Water wasn't that bad at all getting to the hawk cove yesterday and it was perfect in the cove! I'll be there around 1 today also.

That's cool. We wanna do some tubing as the kids haven't had the chance to do so yet this season. Cool.

Hawk cove was pretty darn nice and very sheltered from the strong south winds. Great time today and we want to go back.

No pictures.

I'll let James talk about his boat.

Boat ran good. It hauls ass. All that water leaking into the hull was due to the speedometer stuff I took off when I painted it. Put the new stuff on so it doesn't leak AND the speedometer works!!

I still have white oil. Chad asked about sealing head bolts last Wednesday. How do you guy to that? I just have Loctite on mine, no kind of sealant. As far as I know though, Ford head bolts don't go into the water jackets so they don't need to be sealed.

On a Chevy you use PST (liquid teflon).  I'd check with the Ford guys though.  I have no idea if the head bolt holes are blind or not on a 460.  Did you add a pressure gauge yet?

Are you sure you block is solid, I know the heads are new but that does not mean they can not have a deffect? Intake soild? Waterpump block off plate?

I'm gonna redo it all with the Mr Gasket intakes tomorrow and run it again Wednesday night. I have a fuel pressure gauge here I can use, just have to figure out how to connect it. Should be able to find something at HD that will screw into the water hose connection that has a 1/4 NPT on it, right?

Also, read that your not supposed to put anything other than spray adhesive on the block side with the Felpro's

Yeah, I read last night the Ford head bolt holes are in fact blind. Block checked out OK at the machine shop. Heads are new, timing cover is now new, block off plate looks good.

They should have something.  It may take a couple of adapters to make it work.

I think the correct gaskets may go a long way on getting it right. With the stock heads there was plenty of metal for the gasket to sit on and seal. The ports are so big on these heads there's just not a lot of surface space available to seal onto. With the Felpro's not quite being an exact fit I think it matters, a lot! Read a lot of threads where guys just can't get them to seal using the Felpro's, switch to Mr. Gasket and the problem goes away... Fingers crossed...
