What is the best way to unstick a stubborn a$$ stuck impeller nut?  I really hope I don't have to try and cut it off without damaging the shaft or impeller.  I soaked it with WD 40 this afternoon and plan on trying it again tomorrow.
Thanks!

make sure you turn it the right way ..... and you can heat the nut .... not like freakin super melting hot I used a propane torch and a big cheater pipe

I had one that I thought was never coming off...I put my big wrench on it and put a floor jack under the wrench and jacked it up while applying heat to the nut with a propane torch. Good luck

WD-40 isn't the best I've heard of for a penetrating oil. PB Blaster has worked for me in the past when WD-40 wasn't doin shit. I have also heard of people using a mix of automatic transmission oil mixed with a little acetone I believe?

Other than that, it seems applied heat will be your friend.... The flaming crescent wrench cures all...

The impeller nut came off with a large end wrench and a lot of force. Now the impeller is stuck and the damn thrust bearing is seized to the pump. I think I need a bigger sledge hammer.

Are you using a puller?  I sure don't qualify to give much advice, but if the impeller is already shot, you could get a die grinder with a cut-off blade and just carve it off of that shaft. -that is if it's aluminum.
