Wish I had the time EO to come down . I dropping mine in Granbury for a little test run on the 454 engine to see if it will stay together long enough  for Plowman .. I am behind on everything at home . Need to start getting the RV ready for Plowman also ..

Did you get the Piston for the 555 engine and have you heard from Yelvey ?? Might need the engine if the 454 won't cut it for Plowman ..

It the old engine that I ran for 8 years and pulled it out and put the newer engine in , It sat for almost five year and It fired right up ..  I built this thing in the back shed 13 years ago .. 10.2 to 1 compression , 292 comp cam and dart heads and a little 830 carb ..

Well I tested it today , not very fast and will not hold the nose up .. I think I set my speed record . 79.5 mph at 5200 rpm .. The engine does not like those 29's gears  at all ..

I got a call in to JJ to see if he got some 15's that we can drop in it .. That will get the rpm back up to about 6200 .. At least it should hold the nose up then .

The 555 is a winter project now , going to get a new block and see if that will  helps some of my problems .. .

No Thanks Duane .

My little engine will surprise a few of them ..It old  and wimpy , but is still sounds good .. This winter  I will get that dam concreted block gone and i think most of the oil temp problems will go away ..and the 555 will go back in ..

At this point , I take a bone stock engine so i don't have any more troubles .

I like Chevy but I am open to options though..Do not  think I will ever change .. I just like the Chevys..

Well how did the boats runs out Saturday ??

Jim , how is the E-85 doing , got any speed numbers you want to share or RPM number and gears size ,
I need to know your speed , so I know if I can take you with my wimpy 454 engine , I am not scared of that big shiney blower engine of yours ..It is big and heavy and it got to slow you down , plus the wind resistance also is to my advantage ..  LOL .. See you at Plowman ..
