PER WIDETRACK...on wflc...
Shoe to start with should be set at 0 to keel! Then after you run it a time or two you can change it! Is the shoe backcut, flat or tapered? This will also make a difference as to where you set it!
This is a good start point 0* keel 0* shoe if tapered 2* up on ride plate!
Power and weight play a roll in all setups!
HPJ- any advice? Bobby sent me a pic or two of his shoe and loader...looks like its a closed loader,he says his boat slows drastically when he lets out...i know you had some experience with your buds boat doing this... :smile21:
Yes I did, Bo's boat slowed down when you let off the gas like the boat had brakes because the loader was hanging down too far from the keel. The shoe on my boat is angled and the lowest point should not be below the keel, good starting point is about an 1/8th of an inch above the keel and try it and add some shims as needed around 70 thousands at a time. The loader should be around even with the keel as well and most all tx-19's run open hardware on the loader. just my 1 1/2 cents worth
Thanks 4 the input bro! My shoe has 2 shims under it but it seems to be even with the keel. I got the loader out and seems that someone welded that piece in the middle in it to make it a closed loader. I'm going to attempt to take it out to turn it back into a closed loader.
