Hi All, Jim was killed at creve couer lake in st/louis mo. At a sanctioned event. It was said he was at around 140mph on the finish line his boat went airborne He pulled the parachutes and the boat dissapeared below the surface. He was floating, But we were told by a few racers that the engine had hit him....It was horrible ..So sad for the sport.
God Speed Jim Tucker.

Damm . for some reason I can not get my mind off of this today . i guess because i talked to a couple of racer this weekend about getting mine ready to run a couple of event next year. I was all excited about it until I heard about this Saturday night ,
I found everything I needed used , like a chute jacket , helment , ballistic short , the race suite , helment restraint and was planning on going looking at it this week , but now i don't know what I want to do .If I bought everything and don't race , I could at least use it at the river when we play and may be a little safer ,

This is sure making me think about the whole fast  boating thing . This could happen to any of us out there ..
I think he was running in the TE ( top eliminator )class and I believe that is 9-10 second class,

I know quite a few of lake boat that can run in the 10 second class... that play at the river ..

Again my thoughts and prayers go out to his family
