Red River gathering 12 July

There's been a call out between some of them BYUBOYZ and their impressive machinery and the local squirtboats/mudsuckers for some show and tell on the Red River tomorrow. Short notice, but that can sometimes lead to the most fun. If you guys are in the area, head down river (sand bars across from Red River South Marina, 5 miles south of the Jimmie Davis Bridge on 171 in Bossier City) and see what happens.

I'm headed out to watch and hang out on the sand bars the afternoon.

:smile17:  :smile17:  egg beater's and mud sucker's oooooooo boy that ought to be some fun , got the boat ready only need to load the ice box and go  :smile19:  :smile19:  STRETCH shooting to be there about  12:30 see you there  . took the old flattie out there today and hung out under the bridge with the river patrol , had fun watching the river cop's  do there job  :smile23:  :smile23: it pay's to know these guy's  they never hassel me , but they know that old sand bar hopper can't even hit 50  :smile24:  :smile24:  :smile24:

Indeed Slick! Thanks for the QC!  I've always known that road as Barksdale Blvd.....Thanks for the heads up on the river conditions as well..I'll keep an eye out. I drove down there this evening and looks like a good place to launch from. Hope to catch you out there sometime soon.

Was a pretty good time! Found some hard hittin' jets that sent the ole outboards back to the beach! had about 20 or so boats out there today and the beach was all ours. Hell my boat even stayed running and started under its own power...so it was a GREAT day.
If we do it again I'll be sure and post up.

WildStreak was out there showing how it was done.......

I even saw 3boatpaul catch a lil air under that heavy A$$ Sanger of his...those airplane runs sure look mean! Glad to catch up with you paul. Let's do it again soon.

  :smile17:  :smile17: AIRPLANE RUN"S  :smile24: ya was getting a little high , didn't know if anybody saw that . that last landing was a little rough , broke the nitros bottle mount right off the floor . dam old 20 lb. bottle was bouncing off of every thing, but managed to miss my leg. thats the reason took it back and put on trailer. thats the reason i went up river to air it out, would hate myself if anything happened and hurt some one OBTW wasent even in it . :smile23:  :smile23:

i try to go both day's but most of the time the get together's are on sunday's  i hope this picture post up , a shot of the back side of the sand bar THE big boy's tried to get these guy's to run each other .

  :smile15: hopfully STRETCH can find out when the egg beater  boy's are going to be there again , and
you all can have some fun .  :smile17:  now a WORD OF CAUTION ABOUT THE RED RIVER due to extensive flooding over the winter and spring the sand bar's have moved or grown . with the water still
a little high be carefull where you go . last week end an old boy in a bass boat hit a sumerged sand bar
and threw him out of boat, unfortnatuly he did not have a kill switch and the motor cut his foot off at the ankle .  :smile21:  also had a fellow that hit a sumerged sand bar and came to a dead stop ,and was throwned into his windshield causing a VERY SEVER SCALP WOUND .  :smile14: BOTTOM line guy's let's all be carefull .

Big John come back from Flow-rida yet? Called him the other day and he was on the real beach and said he wants to make plans for a river run soon.......

Couple of them boys gonna be at it again this weekend.... but I gotta lay low and do some work around de casa..
