Pinned threads

Seems like it is getting a little crowded in here with pinned threads.  When I come to this section I have to scroll down to get past the pinned threads now.  Can a mod move my pinned thread about clickable thumbs to the pictures and video forum. (Realized I can do that myself) Might not need to pin the Thursday & Wednesday thread since they get bumped every week anyway.  Can we unpin the threads for events that have passed now?  Just pointing out the obvious.

I think anyone can unpin the threads? I mean if one can pin a thread, think it can be unpinned as well. Isn't that the same as setting the topic as a sticky?

Unless you are talking about just not wanting to unpin someone elses thread. Don't be scared...

*edit* yep anyone can do it. I just pinned this one & then unpinned it... Now Matt, get after it, go crazy on those damned old pinned threads.... lol

Not my responsibility. You are not children. Manage your own $hit. Like I said. It has just gotten a little out of control lately with the pins in here.

Why are we even talking about this? If you want a thread unpinned, or pinned....then do it.

Exactly the kind of comment I would expect from a rookie moderator.  Pinning threads is usually reserved for mods and admins.  This is the only board I know of without that policy.  Everyone thinks their topic is the most important.  When you have an open policy for pinning threads you get exactly what we have here.  A pin off.  We all know what that can lead too.  (Freakin rookie) :head shake:

This isn't a moderator issue Matt....it's an admin/site designer issue as I have no control over the sites policies....this easily could have been taken care of via a PM to the Admins for review instead of airing your displeasure of THB's layout/policies out on the boards.

Though it may not be your "responsibility", this is a self governing site and has worked well the way it's been set up.....and over-site has rarely been needed with the members.

Is there anything else that bothers you about THB?

Not at the moment.  And for the record I did not intend this thread to go this way when I started it.  But it did and I am OK with that.
