Thinking about trading in our old tired and weary 2000 Grand Prix GTP. Went a looked a few new cars today and was really impressed with the Cadillac CTS coupe. That is one sexy car and on a lease it's cheaper than a Camaro! Wife really wanted a Camaro convertible but after getting the numbers it was way out of range. The Chevy dealer hated to admit it, but he said the reason they cost more on a lease is that the Camaro's don't hold their value nearly as well as the Caddy's do.

Anyway, The CTS coupe is an impressive machine. For 3k down and $300 a month, I could definitely put one of these sexy rides in my driveway.

They are nice & not lacking on power for a v6. I found out firsthand a couple weekends ago when my buddy was driving his wife's & tried pulling on my 2500 Ram Cummins. At his 145mph to my 142mph (gauge stops at 120, but I have a tuner) he was BARELY creeping away from me. I was surprised how quickly we both got up there too.

Not really looking for something to go racing in, but the salesman let me take it on a back road and nail it.    :smile17:

They have some cool chit in them, like the GPS. It pops up out of the top of the dash.

The XM radio tells you the song and artist. My Tahoe doesn't do that for XM radio, only on FM. The stereo is Bose and sounds awesome. The seats are super plush and for a sporty two door you don't sink down into it like you do in the Camaro.

AND, they are REAR WHEEL DRIVE!! Time to start throwing more coin in my change jar. LOL

The ole GTP is really in not that bad of shape. Probably about a grand of little nit noid crap to fix and I have the down payment. Stock it was 285hp and it has a 12psi pulley on it adding about 40. At 140k it's pushing no where near that now I think because of the fuel pump getting tired. Needs rear window regulators, fuel pump, front wheel bearing, climate control module, window switch panel, idler wheel for the supercharger, a bunch of little stuff like that that adds up. Cleans up real good though. One owner, 140k on the ticker.

Glacier Blue 2 door coupe, she had the 4 door white.  Like them both.
