Well my good friend and engine builder "Sammy Maloof of Maloof Racing Engines" sent me a couple of pictures of my new engine. It will be going in the Tr-2 I bought several months ago. I will have all the specs for it later. If he does a video of it running like he said he would, I will post a link to it later. Dang, now I have to get back to work on the boat!!!   I just posted a video of it running below in post #5.

Where do you boat at ?

Thanks. I am in Austin and used to do most of my local boating on Travis. However, that was with an offshore boat & I don't see me going there much with this one, unless it is way up river. I do plan to hit as many drags as I can but, I will be looking for good calm water locations to just hang and run it without hassles from the law. Anyone have any suggestions?

Lake Austin is fairly calm through the week but it is a zoo on the weekends in the summer. The lake patrols are pretty thick also and do not like loud boats. I am pretty sure if I went there with my boat I would be harassed, ticketed, or just plain told to leave. I will probably start going way north up the river of Travis. I am told it is almost always calm and hassle free up there. Maybe we should get a group together and go play.

You're going the wrong way on the Colorado.  :smile16:

Bay City or Altair on the Colorado is your best bet for hassle free operation.  :smile30:

Man thats cool. I need to get mine dynoed. Caint wait to see the specs, thats some nice horsepower out of a 462. What compression is it? And where did the 462 come from? Is it stroked? A 30 over 454 is a 461 right? Just wondering. clap.gif

I don't know anything about the engine other than it is 14:5 to 1 compression. When he starts talking about all the things he did to it I feel like Charlie Brown listening to the school teacher..wah..wah..wah..wah. think.gif
