So the wife calls me yesterday and says she has a suprise for me. Turns out she bought a brand new 2012 truck for us to pull the boat and travel trailer (when we get one). so does she love me because she bought a new truck or does she hate me because it's a CHEVY??  think.gif  LMFAO!

Bobby......seems like a Love/Hate relationship to me bro!!!!! A Chevy??????? Seriously man? How come all my Ford brethren are going over to the dark side??? First James...now you..... I'm gonna have to find a different lot to hang out with now.....lol. Just kidding.

Well she bought a chevy because her uncle works at a chevy dealer and sold it to her at his cost. Way way cheaper than us buying any kinda brand on our own. It a Texas edition fully loaded with 5.3. I was wanting new truck to pull a  18-24ft travel trailer and the boat together without any problems but I'm not sure the 5.3 will even do that?

tandem pull will be alot for a 1/2 ton, don't go crazy big on the travel trailer, a 5th wheel would be the way to go fo sure.

Yeah it will be a 5th wheel and more than likely no more than 22ft.

Congrats Bobby. Ford or Chevy, all the new ones are good. The 5.3 will pull, but the 1/2 ton will have a hard time stopping towing a tandem wagon train. BTW, the ONLY truck of mine I'll never sell is the F250 with the 7.3 turbo diesel. Best truck ever built.

I can't answer your question, but your boat looks really good behind that Black Chevrolet.
Your next project will be to learn how to operate all of the accessories, that thing is loaded. 
I feel so sorry for you, new truck and all.

In case you aren't aware, there is an instruction book that comes with it. 
You just have to read the book.
