Anyone know much about this lake?  Is it hot boat (Open header) friendly?  Might make a trip there this summer to have a GTG with a few of the iboat.com guys.

It's a toss up between Murray and Eufaula.  Looks like Eufaula is in the lead for now.  As soon as the date and place is set I will pass the info on.  Anyone know if Eufaula is hot boat friendly?

I have always wanted to put my boat in Eufala!! There are a ton of camping areas there, a jillion little coves everywhere that have very nice flat water. Lots of places to race cars going up Hwy 69 also.

I was also talking with someone recently that said Eufala is jet boat freindly, it's just kind of far from the major cities so there's never any big get togethers there. The last time I went to my mom's in Arkansas the shore line for Eufala was looking a lot like Lavons, although right now it looks to be at 90%

Good news that Eufaula is Hot Boat Friendly.  The guy that is heading this up has a weekend place on Eufaula.  Cliff you met him at Okmulgee.  Bobby is the one that brought the little Sleek with the OB that he totally restored.  James I'm glad to hear that at least you are interested.  I really want to go and it would be nice to have some of the jet boat group make the trip with us.

I have been on Murray in the flat. Oklahoma has a muffler rule similar to Texas.  best I remember I was out without installing them in header but had them in truck just in case. No one messed with me.  A lot of larger hot rod boats were on lake and they all hung around watching me run.  Murray has a nice State Park with nice cabins for the $$.  TVs, Fireplaces etc.  I have stayed in them before.

Lake Stanley Draper just out of OKC has a lot of hot boats.  They have a cove they gather on each weekend similar to Joe Pool crowd.

Lake Ten Killer also had a lot of hot rod boats on it also.

But keep in mind it has been about 20 years since I lived in Oklahoma for 6 years thanks to the corporate world.

We go once a year up to Lake Murray .. Small but beautiful lake , water is very clear . Never taken the hot rod boat , all way take the ski boat .. Never seen any V-drive or fast jets out there . ALWAY A FEW BIG FAST BOATS OUT THERE . I will take the fast boat one day just to do it .. It does get rough out in the middle during the day ..

My plan is to get this LS motor in my boat, get it tuned, then don't f**k with it for the entire summer. Just drive it. Hopefully I'll have the short wide painted with a similar blue/white paint scheme and sporting A/C by then. It's getting damn road worthy now so weekend road trips pulling the boat are in as long as we're not blasting down the highway doing 80 behind Kurt.. LOL That's a little too fast for me pulling a trailer.

I'll bet Chad would be in with us on a few road trips as well. Welchfest was a good one last summer that wasn't all too far. I'll be there again, water pending.

I think you are talkingabout the trip to Plowmans.  You think 80 was fast pulling your boat.  I was pulling the Ambassador on that trip.  That kinda sucked.  LOL.

That would be the trip. I had my mini cruiser behind my F250 and sucked! I can only imagine your monster cruiser behind a 1/2 ton at that speed.
