New member
Havent been around much.
Have a new ride and been working on it and enjoying it.
Its a 1988 Carrera 27ft , I swapped over the engine and interior
from my earlier boat.

Since it was the first day never went over half throttle.
Not real exciting but all I have so far..

so far I have been out on it 4 times and ran the years longest poker
run on Lake Travis last weekend, its a huge step up for me and
handles the water way way better than my last boat.

No boat! It will be a cluster out there  :shocked: but I got land passes,  I'll be at
the beer stands while the family's in the water.

You guys make sure & remember to rinse your boats off with some fresh water when its all over with. That ol' salt will do a number on yer shiny parts if ya don't get it all cleaned off. :wink: :grin:

Had a BLAST at AquaPalooza.  I was wearing the only Hot Boat shirt around.  The only one I recognized was Budweiser :) at $5.00 each, but they were talls.  How dare the news cameras set up their tripods behind us!  Kept getting in their way, showing off my Hot Boat shirt LOL. 

The float zone in front of the stage was pretty cool.  We hung out there all day.  It didn't get crowded until Brad Paisley took the stage, then it was like a bowl full of Cheerios and 2 tablespoons of milk!  Bought Gayle a PlaySport waterproof video camera because she drowned our digital camera at the 06 bikini shoot.  It is a great little camera for the price.  Just be sure to blow the water our of the microphone before recording.

Watching a bunch of half naked drunks on floaties was hilarious!

:smile17: I was there also. I didn't see you though. Maybe it was the 20,000 other boats that were in between us!  :smile26: What an event! They brought in 1000 extra police, game wardens, etc just to work the concert. We were to far away to see Paisley but we sure heard him. All in all I had an awesome time!
