Glastron for sale

Got  a call from a collector of Glastron boats tonight. He saw the Glastron on Craigslist and offered me $4500.00.  He says he has a 1975 with 38 hours on it. Now that's what I call a low mileage ride.  Anyway I'm thinking about taking the offer, what do you guys think?  I only used her twice last summer, and the Liberator will be my primary ride next year.  :smile21:

I don't know, but if I fill the engine with antifreeze and sit on it for the winter, I think someone will offer more, but then again a bird hand bush.

I remember looking at the Glastron in garland before you bought it Jim. It sure is a sweet ride! I think you are the second owner of that boat as the hi you bough it from said he bought it new in Dallas.

After I bought it, I had the whole top deck recleared, all the wood refinished, refurbed the trailer, and added a bimini top.  It's not just the money, this guy is a collector and wants the boat to stay original.  That is important to me.

But it is still worth a try to counter at 5k, take him for a ride first, but make sure all the hoses are on tight.  That Glastron was a nice ride last year at Summerville.

Depends on how bad you want it gone. You've had it for sale for awhile & being that you'd like it to go to a good home, may be a good as time as any to let it go. Like mentioned, you could always counter offer & see if he'll meet you part way on the price, but me personally, I'd probably just let it go so you can focus on your other one. Good luck with the decision.

Thanks Guys, I'm going to sit on it for awhile.  It's not hurting anything just sitting in the shop, and the other project is taking more time than I thought.  I might be working on it for a few months of next boating season, so Plan B will see some action. Besides I really really like that old cruiser. :smile30:

You are putting a Chevy in the other boat, so a back up boat isn't a bad idea!
