If that's so, that's too bad. I would really like to go up there and get together with Eddie. I found out several years ago that his first wife was my great aunt. I was talking to her about drag racing and she said "You know I used to be married to Eddie Hill right?" I'm like waaaaa :smile21: She said the next time I saw him tell him she said hello. I went to the nationals in Ennis later on and talked to him, and he asked how she was doing. Too bad I didn't hang around with that part of my family more often! :smile18:

Eddie would be more than willing to have another event, I believe. He just has a very busy scedule. Not too many folks made it due to the travel time involved. Best day of my life. :smile16:

I'm so glad I made the trip. I made sure to schedule my R&R from Iraq to be there for it :smile27: Met lots of great folks, saw some great boats, and meeting the legend himself was something I'll never forget.

I'd probably go. I've been wanting to go just to check out the Super Shops top fuel car and reminisce about my days as a Super Shops employee.

I think there would not be a shortage of people showing up for this, I'm sure a lot of us would like to go and hang out with the fastest man on land and water. I wouldn't even mind if he just let us know when he might go to Lake Arrowhead so we might have a get together there. Maybe this thread will inspire him to take a break and chill with the good people here at THB once again. :smile14: :smile16:

Start a new thread, see how much interest you can stir up.....I have Eddie's # in my cell phone, I can call and see what he'd feel like doing, if we get enough input. :smile21: It's an 8 hour drive for me, but I'll go in a heartbeat. He still owes me a ride in the Hydro.... :smile26: I'd have got it, but the dang law showed up.... :smile18:
