Messing around on Craigslist and run across this Sleekcraft tunnel.... ad sez its Eddie Hill's old race boat.... May be an interesting bit of history there if there is any documentation to it.

Kinda what I was thinking, but who knows about way back in the day? Pretty sure I recall reading that he was a Sleekcraft dealer though. Maybe that was what the seller meant to say.

Eddie is an easy guy to get in touch with.  He will reply to email.  Would be easy enough to send him a link and get the info straight from the legend himself.  He even has a user account here.

Looks a lot like Diamond Jim's old sleekcraft from about 5 years ago . If it was the same boat it is a light layup hull that was built for Sleekcraft's factory race team , I think Jim said that there were only 5 or 6 of them built .

Eddie Hill did have one , from back when he was a Sleekcraft dealer , but his was a white V-drive with the orange and red stripes .

That's not my old boat.  It looks alot like it, but that is a lake lay-up, with a Berkley.  I'm in contact with the new owner.  He just bought the boat 2 months ago, and he's having trouble with old gas and a plugged up fuel system.  Eddie's Sleekcraft was a V-drive, and he does have some stories to tell about his boat.
