I Just got off the phone with Mr. Eddie Hill...he is welcoming us to his shop for a 2nd charitable event and get-together. We are planning a time in May 2011, and are looking for input. Last time we had a great show and shine, with a trip to Arrowhead lake with eddie in the evening. For those who couldn't make it last time, look out for a great time with one of the all-time fastest and greatest idols of my time. :smile16:

What I am looking for here, to be blunt, is how many people we can get to show up.....we need some input on who is willing to go and plan on being there.  He knows it's a long way for most of us, as well as I. For those that don't know it will be held in Wichita Falls, TX.

I'd like to hear some positive comments as well..... :smile16:

WOW!!!!!!!!! Count me in boat or no boat. I know that had to be one of the best all- time events that we have had. Proud Mary was there an dit was a great show and shine charitable events. I know when we got back and posted pics there was many people themselves in the butt for not going. Go in the gallery and look at the pics and maybe Duane can post the links of the videoes from the event. I no that nothing is set in ston eet but this is one event you can not afford to miss.

CG what weekend is out for you. We are going to have to check race dates and Eddie race open wheel cars and we will have to check his race dates.

I am in like Flynn.  As an ex Super Shops employee Eddie and Ercie are long time hero's of mine.  I will never forget being in the store when we got the news of the first 4 second pass.  We all felt like we were part of something big back then.  In all reality, we were.  You will never meet nicer people.  My little Rebel is nothing special but I will certainly bring it.

This event is all I heard about from David (JDF). He even had Eddie sign his boat. I'd like to attend this one and I know David and some of the Tyler group will as well. David will probly chime in after he and D return from Jamaica. But this far planning ahead, Im sure I can swing it. :smile17:

I'm in. I've been wanting to do a similar event up here in honor of the victims of the Alberts Pike campground flood. My friend lost her mom and 7yr old daugher. Her daughter would work and donate all her money to the animal shelter. Thought if we could get the local guys together and do the same thing maybe in December that it'd be a great event.

Great, that's what we are looking for: a show of hands....enough people are interested and willing to drive, we will put it on! :smile16:

I work 14/14 offshore.  As soon as you get a firm date, I can check my schedule.  Hopefully I will be off that weekend and will attend, boat or no boat.

Charities would be a great idea. Fallen soldiers, local shelters,(abused women and children) deseret industries(a totally non profit organization), etc. You get the idea. Air Force base and Army base not far away and a Texas guard station is there also. Just some ideas.

The last time we did this , it was a blast meeting a Legend in both Drag Racing and Boat racing , Eddie and Ercie was so nice to the whole group of us and his staff at the motorcycle shop cooked and served drinks .. What more could you ask for .. Then we went to the lake for some fun .. Also this was combined with a couple of chatity drives that was great to be  apart of also ..

Hope to see you in May Eddie , unless something comes up , I should be there
