gonna feel good to have a motor that's fresh and looks purty under the hood  :smile27:

After the stringers/floor is replaced and the motor reinstalled, the only thing that I will not have gone through is the Pump.....  I'll probably go through the pump in the fall...thinking about a split bowl, hydraulic diverter setup....

I'm getting ahead of myself here....lol.

The hardest part of that is finding the bowl itself that won't cost and arm and a leg. I kept my eye peeled on Ebay for months till I scored mine for a Franklin. There's only one split bowl on Ebay now. It's 3 bills and a Dominator. Lots of one piece bowls out there.

You don't need a split bowl for the hydraulic diverter, but you do if you want to run a snoot or add wedge. Droop or straight snoot, that's what a split bowl will do for you.

true. but i would like a split bowl so i can add a snoot,  or droop,  to get the diverter further out so the transom cover on the boat don't hit the nozzle when up

Exactly. That's a great reason to get a split bowl. I got my bowl for a hundred and the droop snoot for a hundred. The snoot has 8 degrees of wedge in it too so my roost goes more up than out with the diverter fully raised. Ken's gonna hook me up with a wedge and I'm gonna wedge it down to see what that does as far as getting the nozzle back the original thrust angle.

Thanks guys.....just in the "thought process" now...not sure if the expense and effort are worth the performance gain..... But I do like the idea of being able to shoot a massive rooster tail!

I have an "E" bowl,

Hey KONA, mine's an E pump with a C style split bowl. You can add a droop and it will work with the E nozzle as long as you add a steering extension, on mine anyway. The reverse cable had room to slide out and my hydraulic lines were long enough to go the extra distance also. I don't want big roost, I want correct roost. When it gets up too high I can feel MPH's scrub off big time. Also, if it's up too high when cruising,  then it may not be down enough on launch and killing your holeshot.

At least it was blurry so we really couldn't tell if it was cliff or not.  It probably had all the sweat or drool on the lense
