Cost of fun at Plowman's 2010

I would like to take a moment and say the cost of this weekend was great. The cost was not only monetary but reputation. I really feel bad for Rocky and Becky who signed on the dotted line for this event. They signed for the permit and assumed responsible for upholding the park rules. They save up all year long for this event and it was there vacation to spend time with friends. They had to pay for extra porta-potty's and dumpsters. They paid for the hamburges, hot dogs and beans on Sat.. They paid to get Brett here , paid for his room, paid for his rental car, and paid for his food. I don't know how many times he was called to the front gate on complaints in the park. he had to be stressed to the max this whole weekend. What a vacation. I know many people dropped money off to him and Becky to pay for the event. They only wanted the best of Texas boaters to show Brett how we enjoy boating here in Texas. Rocky has tried for 3 years to get Brett here to get some coverage of Texas Hot Boats and our boating. I think with that said even with the price of the boat wreck, all tickets that were giving, each and everyone who attended and drove miles to come to this event, They paid the ultimate price. I don't know if they will or who will step up to the plate to put their name on a permit for next year if there is one. I know it is tuff to get everyone on the same page and only hope that we as a group of boaters will not get a bad rap. I have talked to Rocky and trust me he is totally stressed by this weekends events. I know that is not the kind of vacation I would want to take. All I can say is thank you Rocky and Becky for all you have done. I know there will be plenty of negative feed back and I would only ask that everyone stop for one moment and put yourself in Rocky and Becky's shoes and ask yourself could you have done what they did for all of us. I now will open the floor to everyone for your thoughts.  Bill"cookieman"

I agree with you Bill . I know how stressed out Rocky was and still is over this event .
I would Like to again tell Becky and Rocky THANK YOU for doing everything you did for this event .
I had fun and enjoyed myself at Plowman ..
I am going to buy a CD from Ashley to help them with the cost . I know that they spent a lot of money and will not get back close to what they spent .. so $ 10 for a CD with a lot of pictures is not much money to help for the expenses that they occurred .

THANKs BECKY AND ROCKY for doing everything you did for Plowman to happen .

Thanks for an awesome event!!

When it's all said and done, I probably spent $250 in fuel, food and beer. On the way back towards Dallas on Sunday, we stopped off at a family owned diner and had a fairly decent lunch.

I hope we can make I happen against next year.

thank you rocky and becky for a wonderful time.. this was my 2nd time attending and i hope there will be a 3rd time.. thank you guys for everything you did to have us there.. besides all the bs it was still a great weekend.. the weather was perfect... i also want a cd of the pics ashley took...  i hope in the future we can still have plowmans. even if it means we make our own reservations and keep it under wraps..

Yep i Thank you Rocky and Becky! sorry some A hole at the gate was crying like a little biatch!

You know why could the person that is putting on the event not have it as a pre-paid event? say 20 bucks a head and have a "must be paid by date" before the event and have a check off roster at the gate,,you dont pay you dont get in! How else you gonna keep out the crybabies?

The plus side is all the extra cost would be taken care of,,food, porta pots, clean up,ect....
and if there is any excess $$$ left over we pic one of our THB Family members that has had a rough time with health care or loss of a loved one,,or just plain old down on their luck!!!

And by doing this the person putting on the event would not be taxed for making a profit!!!!

We can do this people!!!
