24 hours away from wetting the boat and I'm already freaking out.... :smile20:

Why is that? I build stuff for people all the time, and no nerves....when it's my stuff....well..... :undecided:

Man, if I don't calm down, I'm gonna explode!!!!

If it blows, I'm out for a while, again. Scared to death.....anyone else get like this? crazy.gif

lol, just messin with ya.. don't get nervous per se, little anxious at start up I guess, but nothing major. have you lit it off yet at all? I don't remember if you have or not.

The first time I ran my new motor was down in Somerville a few weeks ago....had some major butterflies too. Just ask Kenny and Kona...lol. I didn't start beating on it until last week at Collin park....she ran great!

If my novice a$$ can build a motor that takes a beating, I know a guy with your 'sperience can build one much better!

Take a shot or two of whiskey to calm your nerves....then JUMP ON IT BRO!!!!!

Dam sounds like you guys know me or something .. I guess I am pretty hard on engines , or at least that what I have been told .. I do let the oil temp get up to about 160 before I hammer on them ..

Duane - yes I was nervouse as hell when I tested last weekend .. I alway get nervouse that something is going to grenade on the first hard pass  .. I am in the same boat as you , if it breaks , it will be down for a long time .. Sick of working on it .. Saying this as I taking the V-Drive box to JJ today and working on the flywheel issue at the same time ...  You will be fine ..  Give it about 10 minute break in and then go have fun .. If it breaks , you want it to right away so you can find out what happen and try and fix it , or go home like I do and  scream at it .. LOL .. Duane - you will be fine .. Go have fun ..

Hell if I had that lunch menu , I would blow it up before I got it in the water ..

Have fun Duane .. You deserve it .. I hope you report back that it ran great and you had that big ass grin on your face like you had when Eddie took you for that ride in his flat .. I remembr that grin as if it was yesterday ..

Once you are in the water and that engine is making beautiful noise , everything will be fine ..  :smile17:

I feel your pain Duane, after three motors going south on me within the first five minutes in the water, I get the same butterflies.  Still get them with this motor, wondering what will go wrong next> think.gif

OH while I was breaking mine in . I made sure the wind was blowing toward the ramp so it would be easiier to paddle back in , not kinding on that ..

Guess I could have worded that better huh..  :cheesy: Its a slow moving river & the dam is not terribly high.... better?  :grin:
