Bimini Top for a Mini Day-cruiser

Hey guys. I know there's a ton of snow on the ground right now and a Bimini top is probably the last thing on everyone's mind.....but I have a question.

I will need a Bimini top for out Mini day starting this spring......because the Texas sun is brutal. The question is, how tall and wide of a top are you guys using? Also, where did you buy it?

I bought a top a few years ago from www.iBoats.com and have had great success with it. Any other sites that might be a good deal?

I have seen them in Overtons, but have no experience with them myself. Can check them out on their website, pretty sure they offered them for different style boats.

Thought about gettin one for mine, but it just ain't gonna happen. Looked into those Anchor Shades, but that would only be good for floating. Don't think you can run with it up at anything other than a wakeless speed.

An Anchor Shade? Thought your Nordic had a regular bimini top...

Cliff , give me the measurement , I may have one that came off my old jet boat many years ago , it just sitting in storage , hell you can have it if it will fit your boat .. I need to go dig it out .. It was on a low profile jet boat that would lay down against the front of the boat and then the straps would hold it up when you needed it .. IT is yellow also .. ,

If I can get home today . i will try and find it Saturday .. Some one would have to pick it up in Granbury , it will not fit in my work car..

Billy, thanks man!! Yellow is what I was looking for. The boat is in a covered storage about 17 miles from the house so I'll have to try and make it out there tomorrow afternoon to measure it. Ya, I'll drive to Granbury for a free Bimini!!!!

Thanks man!!

You will need to get the mount to go on the boat , but that should not be a problem .. They just screw on the top deck and have a mounting hole for the top to mount to . They were left on the boat when i traded it off .

I will go out in a few minutes and see if it is still out there ..

Took me 2.5 hours to get home .. 85 miles ..  Dallas and surrounding area has a lot more Ice than the Ft.Worth side does .. I was glad it got better the closer I got to Granbury

Wow, you're home? Glad you didn't have any problems.

If you do find the top, can you take a measurement  for me please? The measurement is from mount to mount so I know how wide it is. That way when I go out to the boat tomorrow I'll know if it will fit.

73" wide but you have a little give and take on that , so anywhere between 72" -74" would work .. about 41 inch high ..

it is still all zipped up in the cover , let me know if it will work and I will unzip it and make sure it in stiil good shape , might need  a new strap ..

It been in storage for maybe 7-8 years , don;t remember when i put it out there  ..

Let me know and I will inspect it a little better

Haha....so I guess I could consider the "Dust and dirt" a bonus?

You're right, can't beat the price at all....even if I have to clean it etc.

Man......thanks a lot!

Billy!!

We made it back safe and sound, just pulled up to the house. We ate at Babes chicken, wow that was good. You have a fine little town there in Granbury and we sure would like to come back and visit more when there's more time.

Thank you VERY much for the top!! I think it will look perfect on the boat and we are very grateful!! Here's a few pictures of the top.

Comparing the top to my current avatar, you'll be able to see it's a perfect match.

Good seeing ya again. You have a nice corral of toys, I'm envious!! Lol.

Tell your wife it was a pleasure meeting her.

Thank you again, see ya!!

Came all the way to Granbury and didn't even to stop and see the cookieman. Maybe next time.

Ya, sorry cookieman. It was a spur of the moment (and a relief from cabin fever) thing and we did t even decide to go until about 1030 yesterday morning. It took us forever to get there due to the road conditions and we wanted to get there, get something to eat and feed Victorias girls and then head back. We sure were impressed with the Granbury town square and the area in general, we will be back for sure.

We will get together with ya next time when it is a little less spur of the moment.
