a cover that just snaps on around the seating and engine area not a cover that covers the entire bow like a road cover you might call it?

I know what your talkin about & have thought about one for mine for towing when the weather is shitty. Saw a Taylor SJ that had one, it was pretty sweet. Don't recall if it had OT headers or not though.

Just thought of one, there is a guy on here goes by Cornbread. He has a Placecraft tunnel that he is selling & he has one of those covers, think it snaps on the same way. Pretty trick, it even has clear panels on the sides so you can see the engine with the cover on... I'll find pics..

Cornbread's boat.... This will give you an idea, but the fullsize pics show the snaps & stuff a lot better...

Link to his thread on PB if you want to see the pics fullsize: 1985 Placecraft Tunnel Dragster

I remember Cookie about shit his britches when I pointed out the tear in that high dollar cover at Colet that last year he brought this boat.  :cheesy: He has one of those aluminum scoops though, guess the sharp edge got it.

Conversation went something like:

Cookie(as he drives up to where several of us are standing around the campsite): Hey guys whats up? Heck of a long drive but we made it! Good to see you guys!

Us: Hey Bill, good to see you too! Hey, you know your cover is ripped don't ya?

Cookie: Bullshit, no way! That thing is tough, custom made!

Us: No BS Bill, check it out....

Cookie (as he leans over & checks his rearview mirror): *&!#@*!?><)*%$#!!!!

:cheesy:

So just something to be aware of if you have one of them scoops....

Never gonna get that hydro ready like that , gotta get to work in the evening instead of chugging beers . There will be plenty of time for that later  :smile30:

Be sure and have him put some extra padding were the forward reverse lever, headers and scoop contact the cover.  Good luck John

That cover go on pretty easy? How tight a fit is it, looks like it would tow well.
