Thanks guys.  She made a preview showing at Lavon tonight.  No lake time tonight but I did back her down that ramp and make sure she would start.  She fired right off.  Definitely needs some TLC but the bones are good.  Big thanks to JJ (Beaver Fab) for getting her home to TX.

That B**** is long.  Gonna have to modify my shop a little to get the fat girl to fit.  I had plans to make the tongue removable.  When I saw it the first time at JJ's I realized it had surge brakes.  Gotta rethink that plan a little.  I know it can be done but I may can make it fit with less work on the shop walls.  LOL.

The first time you crush a roller at speed and don't feel anything at all...... you will be in love  You have to get used to NOT letting off for rough stuff.

Got some things to fix.  Mainly water lines.  Way too much water in the headers at idle.

Better get on that, which I figure you will.  When I first got my boat mine was like that & folks were tellin me that first time I brought it out. I learned the hard way. My deal was the T-valve put together incorrectly.

I was watching for it.  If there is any damage done it was not by me.  I only ran it for about a minute or so pretty much at idle.  I am hoping it is something simple like a stuck ball in the Bassett T.

I did make some progress today.  Boat and trailer are transfered.  Trailer now has all new working LED lights.  I will cut new TX numbers at work tomorrow.  Should be able to sort the water issue on Saturday and then back to the lake to look for the next round of issues on Sunday.

The spring in the t-valve is tapered I guess you'd say, bigger on one end than the other. Ball goes against the small end. On mine someone had taken it apart & had the ball on the big end of the spring & the ball was pushed down into it. Simple mistake if someone doesn't know or isn't paying attention. Simple but costly. :lipsrsealed: It was the third or fourth time out with it when it finally "criscoed" it up to where it was running poorly. Doubt what little you ran it did anything.

Good deal about the paperwork, thats gotta be a nice feeling havin your name on that bad boy. What did you have to do to the lights, replace them, or just fix some wiring.... Lights that flicker or don't work right is annoying, lol...

I replaced all the lights.  There were all in various states of operation.  Some had bad sockets, some had bad bulbs, some had nothing at all.  I bought all new LEDs and wire just to be done with it.  Once I got into it the wiring was actually in OK shape so I just replaced the bad, broken & missing sockets and all the bulbs.  Everything works as it should now.  I may replace the remaining sockets down the road.  Gonna try cleaning them first to see what condition the chrome is in on them.  If they clean OK I'll leave them, if not all the bulbs came with new sockets so I have replacements.  I think the trailer will actually polish up pretty well.  The paint is still good and thick on it.  Might get by with a light wet sand and polish.

I spent a little time on one corner of the gel last night just by hand.  If the rest of the boat cleans up as good I will be extremely pleased.  I worked on one of the worst parts to see what I could do.  It looks killer.  I'll post some pics later tonight.

Hopefully I have time to start evaluating the water situation tonight.  I guess I should start a project thread.
