A BAD DAY AT THE RIVER

a friend of mine took our v-drive's to the river sunday to do a little cruising, and got to the sand bar and found that there were a few folk's doing a little testing in preperation for next week's little get together. unfortunatly a friend's jet was severly dammaged and sank during a tuning run. as a side note this is one of the hardest and fastest leaving jet boats that i have seen. this thing leaves like a frog dropped on a hot plate. any way it littearly jump's out and forward, but when it fell back and hit the water it cracked the floor from the transom, the whole boat was severly stress cracked and twisted  ( A VERY LIGHT LAY UP ) i wish i had taken some pics of the loader and pump set up, very unique. the boat is totaled but at least he was not hurt.  i tried to load some pic's but did not take . if any one is interested  i have pics loader on photo bucket, just type in 3boatpaul

Tough break there, glad to hear everyones okay and see they got it loaded up. I think about stuff like this when I get back on my "get a lighter boat kick", seems to make me think my heavier hull is alright again.

Do you have any pics of where it came apart?

you couldn't  repair it and make medium layup boat out of it ??? this way he would not have through it away ? :smile25:

doubtfull damage was extensive . it blew hole's thru the floor and appr. 1 inch above the floor around the transom the whole thing cracked from one end to the other , plus not counting the stress crack thru out the whole boat. it twisted pretty bad. i talked to george from hydrodynamics about it and was advised that donnie majio is selling the whole package as stand's for 2 k . well over 3 k in the pump and no telling how much money in the motor.  motor is 472 ci motor is full of the best of the best part's  i will say everything in this boat high dollar . this deal will not last long at all people who know the boat are trying to get the money together for this deal.

So he's bailing on it? Why not pick up another hull or a new hull and move the running gear over?

3boatpaul has been having some internet troubles, and is also caring for his Mrs. who is having some tests done this week so he hasn't been on the forum to reply. From what it sounds,he and I are pretty sure the boat is sold.
