in my opinion that boat is underpowered (as with many boats), and that alpha one out drive wont hold together with big HP numbers, that being said you could build a 383, out of that block cause it doesnt look like like a BBC will fit in there,  that also being said the boat ought to perk up with a hardcore 454ci small block that world products make but you can kiss that alpha good bye, at the LEAST you want a Bravo 1 Out drive Preferably a Bravo 1 XR

For cruising around that 350 is bullet proof. Keep the oil changed and you should be good. The alpha drive will handle that much power, but not beyond. As long as you keep the boat in the water and not unload/load the prop by leaving the water repeatably then you should be OK.

It is a unique looking boat that will turn heads.
