I'm planning a Steele Creek excursion this month and thought some others might be interested. Accommodations at the Indian Lodge. Any two days work for me.

Glad you found the culprit. Some guy mentioned (maybe this thread) that braided hose collapse can and does happen. It’s hard to duplicate for sure. Can’t help you tune your blown setup but I will say it can’t be far off from perfect. It sounded awesome!

Good time at Steele Creek. Weather was perfect and the people awesome.

Update, After replacing the carbon ceramic seal, the pump is now doing it's thing. From the looks of the integrated rubber piece encapsulating the old seal assembly, it was tired from age and possibly heat exposure as it was dry rot cracked around it's circumference. What have I learned...

Weather permitting, I'll be there. Reservations made.

A "performance boat" (JJ's words) get together is planned for Steele Creek the weekend of July 12-14. Nice RV campground at Plowmans Park and some RV sites at Steele Creek. Otherwise it's the Indian Lodge Resort just upstream about seven miles.

How far is your drive to Steele Creek, Lake Whitney area?

My boat isn't prepped for tree stumps. Indian Lodge may be the way to go.
