Wow Great trip to the past for me. Green Valley has many fond memories for me,  the picture of Bill Helcshers Camero, Bill was from Irving and I bought one of his spare engines for my 59 Corvette.  Attended a road race there as the Super Snake (Cobra) beat the factory Corvette.  Broke my heart.  Great times!

Another friend of mine had a 4 cylinder Chevy two, automatic, we couldnt make the safety checks so we convinced Sam to run his car.  He ran a 17 second quarter, and won his class.

Here is one of reasons I remember.  Roomate's car and we ran all over Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana

Ran old gas front engine dragsters before this one......

Someone in New England bought and restored the car and this is a late picture.  All from in the day were black and white.  Many miles hauling this beast to match race!

Oh ya.  jump.gif  you could still see reminents of it till couple years ago. My 1st national event was there. we were just married in 1978.
