As boating and racing season has started here's a little food for thought.
I was out in the shop today replacing all the bearings and races as we are getting ready to pull down to Florida. Putting everything back together I noticed the wheel bearing washers are 1"3/4 o.d. Now this really covers the bearing not allowing the bearing buddy to push the grease into the rollers. Now the fabrication we do here at S&J Racing I took it down to 1"3/8 o.d. allowing the bearing buddy to push the grease into the rollers as they are designed to do.
So when you guys replace or repack your trailer bearings you might want to look at those washers! Hope this helps.
