Timing advance curve ?

Just picked up a brand new MSD pro-billet distributor, marine style, for my 460 BBF..... for $145  :smile19:

Was wondering how hard it is to set the advance curve? I know you have to change bushings or springs .....

Is this something that needs to be done with some testing on the boat? Or can I sit at my kitchen table and set this thing.

By the way, anybody know what BBF like for intial and advance timing?

( full roller, frest 460 with a RPM intake manifold, rewarder through transom headers and a 750 demon carb, a mild Isky cam)

Thanks

Sounds like a good combo, it'll probably like about 14 initial and  36-38 total, with the lightest springs in the box..

So that would be the lightest springs and the silver advance bushing?  Comes with the blue one installed and it says the blue one is 21 and the silver one is 25 ?
