thinking about getting out on the road this coming weekend, is 429 marina still a good place to stay? is the water up? we never really got a chance to see the lake last time we were up there.

Hey Randal yes like Bobby said the water is up way up.  429 is a great place they built some new cabins since last oct.  We hang out on sundays in HAWK COVE. which is the first cove east of 751 to the north. IF you are at 429 go under bridge and head to the cove to the left..      Im sure 429  WONT be packed just have to call and ask.

Let me know if you make it out here, I'll meet up with y'all. I'd personally want to stay at 429 if I was planning a lake trip as the nearest DECENT hotel is 20 min from the lake. If a hotel is a must there are holiday inns in Royse City and Greenville both on I-30.
