New boat

Well, I finally did it. I am now the owner of a 1969 cee bee avenger with an 85 hp evinrude. I know it's not going to be crazy fast, but I hope it's a good stepping stone. This is my first non-fishing boat. I managed to get the ol' evinrude fired up last weekend, now I just need to change the steering cable, and get registered.

That 85 HP evinrude will run for years. I had a 75 model. Just keep a good hot battery in them. From what I understand that the ignition system needs the voltage to keep from breaking. Other than that, bulletproof.

the ignition system died...someone had installed a mallory cd ignition, also dead. I just installed a shiny new msd ignition...and BAM! she roared to life. But yes, it takes a very hot battery to get this bad boy to turn over.
