It would be a sign that they weren't moving around like they should

Going out on a limb here, is there a pcv valve hooked up on this engine? :smile21:

It does have breathers on both valve covers but now that you mentioned it I cannot recall a tube coming from the carb down. I will have to look.

the pcv did not work... still smokes...

Yea, The problem is where it is currently it cannot sit. It has to stay mobile. If it does sit it cannot stay down for long. Thus i need to find a running engine already OR find another block and go from there...  think.gif

BUT i still need that dipstick..
