have a small place on the transom at the seam where the fiberglass is pulling away from the wood what is a good fix

i have a sidewinder jet boat if you have seen one the back is built like a bass boat Rex has a metal step but i have found a place that makes teak swim platform what do you think

i have a stock 1970 sidewinder jet,that is all 1970 and mint there is some things i like but do i change it
